The impact evaluation strategy of the BEEP project comprises of a plan and a data collection template to help partners assess the impact of the project’s activities within their own contexts. It focuses on five target groups: partner organizations, policy makers, education experts, learners, and low-skilled learners.
Approach:
- The plan uses a mix of quantitative and qualitative data collection methods.
- Quantitative methods involve counting things like the number of inquiries, protocols drafted, and agreements signed.
- Qualitative methods involve gathering more descriptive information through interviews and questionnaires.
Data Collection Methods:
- Live/online group interviews
- Short surveys
- Semi-structured questionnaires
Impact Assessment Questions:
The document asks three key questions to be considered when reviewing the data:
- What happened as a result of the programme or project? (e.g., Did policy makers receive suggestions? Did learners increase their capabilities?)
- What real difference has the activity made to the beneficiaries? (e.g., Did learners feel more supported? Did policy makers gain a better understanding?)
- How many people have been affected? (e.g., How many learners participated? How many policy makers were reached?)
