| Description of Participants/ Target Group | Participants are all adult learners in Further Education and Training. They are a very diverse group of mixed nationalities and ages. What they have in common is that they have all experiences some degree of education exclusion or marginalisation and have joined a Student Council to work towards making changes. |

| Feedback from Participants | Positive: Session was collaborative and engaging- “fun” and “nice to meet new people” Negative: – Session lacked clarity and focus – Session used “organisational language” like “stakeholder”- not plain English that everyone can understand |
| Reflection on Impact | There needs to be more time and space to start with the participants own experience. The aims and purpose of the session needs to be made a lot clearer. The staff from ETBs we are working with may need training first so that they better understand the foundations of education for participation and democracy. |
